I want to do more free writing and get used to putting my writing out there. While I'm confident in my writing when it comes to more practical applications, my creative and personal writing has lagged behind. I haven't taken as much time as I should have to practice those skills, so now's the time. I'm keeping a diary-journal-notebook-thing that I update every night, and there's a good chance many of the posts here will be transfers from that.
This should be somewhere between a blog, a diary, and a place to drop creative ideas. We'll see where it goes.
I'm a trans lesbian named Scarlett!
The rural northwoods is my home. I feel a deep love for the region despite the feeling not being mutual.
I'm an English Education student! I plan on teaching high school or, if I win the lottery, going into academia myself. I should probably write about that. hint hint, me
I'm a beginner doing digital art using libre software. Blender and GIMP are naturally my tools of choice.
Words are my great love in this world. I like art of all kinds, but I feel particularly connected to the complexities that words make possible. That's part of why I've been reserved in making "wordy" things myself, I respect words too much and I get anxious. Hopefully this site will help me with that.
I'm a radical leftist but I expect this to be more in the background of my writing here. My beliefs go deep but I don't see much of a point in preaching on a site made for myself.
My current obsession is "technoromanticism," a pejorative term that describes something I've been trying to put together in my head for a while now. Despite the writings I've found on it being dense and arguing against the concept, I'm enjoying reading against the grain and hoping I can learn something. Expect posts on it.
